Beaver Lodge was built in 1914 by Norman Luxton for use as a boarding house rental property, Beaver Lodge has been home to many prominent Banff citizens including William Round who lived and operated the Banff Academy of Music in this house. The Eleanor Luxton Historical Foundation has been working on renovations to Beaver Lodge and we invite you to come view rooms in this house that have not been open to the public previously - we have added artifacts and books from the Luxton Home collection that are rarely seen.

On select days in August the house will be open from 11am - 2pm and open 11am - 4pm August 12.

During these open hours, our summer staff and board members will conduct a short survey about Heriatge and Culture in Banff - we hope you will particpate! We plan to have the survey available on our website in the near future, please come back and particpate here if you cannot make it to Beaver Lodge.
Location 212 Beaver St, Banff, AB
Today is also Doors Open Banff. Many heritage homes in town will open their doors to visitors between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
